Tosoff Music Services Jazz Course Summer Registration Form 2004
A 30 lesson – 30 hour Course for Adults and Piano Instructors in Jazz
and Improvisation
( Or Optional 15 lesson 2 hours a lesson for a total of thirty hours will be done)
Other areas covered will be taking simplified
jazz standards and use chord substitutions or fraction chords. “Fake”, music
will be used to show student how to develop a song from a bare bones approach.
Other areas covered will be walking bass lines, Circle of Fifth exercises, and
left and right hand comps exercises. The student will gain insight how jazz
players approach the songs by analyzing various creative possibilities,
incorporating own ideas and arranging song accordingly. Two Binders will be included with
course outline and music, sheet music with arrangements, fake music and
original music by the Instructor Bryon Tosoff who will give the student any
additional compositions he deems necessary.

Terms of contract:
Initial Payment of $200.00 is required as a
registration deposit and to guarantee spot by June 21st and forwarded to the
mailing address* below to ensure times requested
Balance of Course payment to be made in full on or
before July 5 in amount of $1300.00 and be made out to Tosoff Music Services,
Course is only payable in a cashiers cheque or certified cheque or money order
and is required in Canadian Funds. Cash payments will receive a 6 % discount A
Receipt will be issued to the applicant who pays cash. If paying in Cash, Bills
no larger than $50.00 will be tendered and total payment is due at first lesson
in full amount. Please indicate how

Course Fee $1500 less 200.00 deposit balance $1300 to
be paid at initial lesson or 3 payments of $550 may be made over a 3 month

Please read the following and sign the agreement. A copy will be given to you for your records.
Once dates are established student is to adhere
to schedule, no refunds or make up classes are available. No Lessons will be
rescheduled for other activities that interfere with the applicant’s reserved lesson. Give 24 hours notice to cancel a lesson. If
instructor is unavailable refund will be pro-rated. Post Dated Cheque
required as per instructions. Lesson days and times will be determined between
both parties and established
Once Lesson days and times agreed upon student
will receive specific dates which must be attended. No refunds issued after Payment for course is completed under any
circumstances unless illness or emergency situation, doctors written
explanation may be required.

The applicant will be authorized to use all original material as
supplied by Tosoff Music Services and Bryon Tosoff for teaching purposes.

It is considered intellectual property and can only be used as
reference and educational material for the clients own use unless otherwise
authorized by Bryon Tosoff of Tosoff Music Services.
Options available for teaching the Jazstyles
course once student has completed course and meet requirements:
License fee is
$500 for the teaching of this course. Jazstyles Teacher will be issued manuals
at a cost of $225.00 which they will charge student accordingly, teacher
should charge student at $42.50 an hour
for course, For total cost of $1500.00 Publishing of Course must not be done under any circumstances.
Upon Completion of course, Applicant will be
issued Certificate and Letter Stating they are qualified
instructors in teaching introductory,
intermediate and advanced jazz and improvisational techniques.
Updated materials and
