MUD DOG BLUES BAND

I was first introduced to Bryon Tosoff's, Voodoohead Productions,digital, radio music promotion, through my friends, The Blue Voodoo,  whom Bryon had successfully promoted for several years.  During the summer of 2011, we released our 3rd CD, Mud Dog ~ SUN, that we had recorded at Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. I wanted to ensure that this special recording would get heard and began to explore options for effectively promoting our CD to radio. 

My friends, The Blue Voodoo and John Pippus, had also recently released their CDs and were being promoted to radio by Bryon with great results. They were quickly gaining access to international markets while I was slowly getting SUN out to local radio. I quickly realized that I would need to hire a professional promoter in order to quickly and effectively gain wide international radio play. 
Working with Bryon was enjoyable and highly educational. He did an amazing job tenaciously and professionally promoting our CD and I, therefore, highly recommend Voodoohead Productions for promoting your CD to radio.

I have just reviewed "BOOGIE WITH THE DEVIL" and This POWER PACKED BLUES CD will knock you out with some great MATERIAL such as "PHONE BOOTH" which will definitely make the blues charts and crossover to the rock stations as well.

BIG MAMA SUMMER, certainly knows how to lay down the BLUES with her unique power packed style of singing. Seasoned guitarist and veteran bluesman Buddy Love, lends some solid rhythm support throughout the album. There is superb percussion by producer Paul Nixon, tasty keyboard stylings by Brendan Hedley and some sassy saxophone by Paul Wainwright as well. Dave Vidal delivers some killer guitar and with Guest Dave Gogo offering up some fine support on a couple of tracks, this album is sure to be spinning for some time to come.

Singer Heidi McCurdy has that soulful, unique, amazing voice that grabs you right away. The First Time I heard Heidi sing, I was astonished at the rich textures she has in her voice. BLUES

  • BOBBY PARKER
    During the 50's Bobby started out by working with the doo-wop group Otis Williams and the Charms. He played lead guitar with Bo Diddley, toured with Paul Williams, Sam Cooke, Jackie Wilson, Laverne Baker, Clyde McPhatter, and the Everly Brothers. He also toured with Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly and Little Richard in late '50s. In 1958 while working with Paul "Hucklebuck" Williams and playing at the Apollo in Harlem, he wrote and recorded "Blues Get Off My Shoulder" (recorded on Vee-Jay label).
    1960's In 1961, Bobby relocated to Washington DC and began appearing at all the major clubs in DC. He recorded "Watch Your Step" (V-Tone label) in 1961 which became a regional hit and was later covered by Spencer Davis Group, Dr. Feelgood and Santana. "Watch Your Step" became a hit on British and US R & B charts. In 1968, he toured England and recorded "It's Hard to be Fair" for the Blue Horizon label.
    The 70s and 80s found Bobby performing heavily in the Washington DC area and he became a key figure in the city's blues scene. 1990's
    In 1993, Bobby Parker headlined the Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Festival. He recorded his first album, "Bent Out of Shape" for the Black Top label. In 1995 it was joined by his second album "Shine Me Up" also on the Black Top label (distributed by Rounder). Bobby continues to play weekly in DC clubs and has developed a following of both old and new blues fans. His powerful guitar licks and superb songwriting make him one of the most exciting artists around today!
